This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for water/wastewater systems. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing conceptual design, programming, installation, and commissioning of automation systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and controls engineering, with experience in programming Allen-Bradley Logix platform PLCs and SCADA software development. Strong networking and computer skills are also essential, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for water/wastewater systems
- Provide conceptual design, programming, installation, and commissioning of automation systems
- Work collaboratively with clients and other staff members to ensure successful project outcomes
- Conduct site visits to troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues
Requirements:
- Relevant Engineering or Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical/Controls Engineer performing design, programming, installation, and startup tasks
- 5+ years' experience programming Allen-Bradley Logix platform PLC's
- 5+ years' experience with fieldwork (panel wiring, startup, and emergency support/troubleshooting)
- 3+ years' experience programming Allen-Bradley Panel View or other manufacturer touch screens
- Strong networking and computer skills, literacy, and proficiency
- Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills
