Overview

Electrical Design Engineer at Ventia – Mount Warren Park, Queensland, Australia

Take the next step in your career as an Electrical Designer in our Telecommunications Critical Infrastructure division. In this role you will assist in the development of electrical detailed designs, produce cost estimates of materials and labour, assist the construction team during construction of projects and update databases and as-built drawings. This is a permanent hybrid opportunity based in Stapylton.

About You
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer / Designer
  • Technical fluency on Low Voltage and DC power
  • Proficiency in bill of quantities preparation
  • Proficiency in interpreting CAD drawings
  • Competency in MS Office, especially MS Excel for bill of quantities and tender costs estimates
  • MS Access, MS Power Automations and Power Apps desirable
  • A current manual driver's licence
  • Be prepared to work away from home when required
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, OH&S legislation/guidelines, and environmental legislation/licensing
Desired Skills (Not Essential)
  • Develop technically fit-for-purpose solar and battery designs for commercial market segment
  • Proficient knowledge of the solar industry and solar-related regulations
  • Basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems
