Job Description

We are seeking experienced Technical Advisors to join our team. As a Technical Advisor, you will provide technical expertise and support to our clients, working closely with our engineering and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on engineering and logistics-related matters
  • Review and assess technical documentation, including maintenance concepts and maintenance task analysis
  • Support the management of maintenance evaluations and the selection and testing of support and test equipment
  • Attend system safety working groups, interface control working groups, and other meetings as required
  • Work with contractors to support the conduct of verification and validation programs
  • Assure the provision of necessary technical documentation by contractors
  • Support the engineering and logistics teams in achieving design acceptance for materiel systems
  • Support the transition to sustainment of mission systems following system acceptance
  • Prepare technical reports, briefs, and official project correspondence
  • Evaluate and ensure that delivered materiel meets requirements and legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks
  • Progress engineering changes within the configuration management tool
  • Support exercises, including Army OT&E activities
Requirements
  • Formal technical qualification to attain the appropriate Technical Authority (TRF) at Level 3 as a minimum
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electronics trade
  • Knowledge and proficiency in executing tasks within an engineering management framework
  • Knowledge and experience in support systems
  • Strong understanding and experience in developing and reviewing technical artefacts and documentation
  • Polite and professional manner for developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable Criteria
  • Military trade experience with armoured vehicle or defence vehicles and equipment
  • Knowledge and experience in Defence projects, the Defence Capability Life Cycle, and Defence Systems Engineering process
  • Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite, and proficiency in reviewing Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) documentation
  • Experience in Configuration Management Tool – Land (CMT-L)
  • Experience using and managing the Defence RODUM database
  • Experience with Defence publications such as Workshop Manuals, EMEI's, Operator Manuals, Technical Instructions, and IETP
  • Experience with MILIS / SAP maintenance records and Technical Inspections
  • Experience with the identification, certification, selection, and introduction of complex support and test equipment
  • Experience with logistic support processes, including maintenance regimes, FMECA, LORA, LSA, and HUMS
