Job Title: Community Support Worker

About the Role

This rewarding role is an essential part of our team, supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choice. You will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs
  • Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care
  • Manual handling and household tasks such as menu planning, cooking and cleaning
  • Assistance with taking clients to medical appointments
  • Maintenance of progress notes and record-keeping
  • Ensure the home is a safe and nurturing environment

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts a day including early mornings, late nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties - and happy for this to be part of your job
  • Current Australian drivers licence
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
