Leadership Opportunity in Sponsorship and Events

Lion is searching for a commercially-minded leader with a strategic mindset to lead the team in South Australia.

This leadership position provides direction to one direct report through planning, implementing, leveraging, and evaluating events and sponsorship properties according to brand objectives and aligned to the national business strategy.

  • Manage relationships with key customers across various properties including stadiums, racetracks, sporting clubs, and festivals.
  • Manage sponsorship contract performance, renegotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Identify potential growth opportunities within current and new customers.
  • Deliver growth through on-point and determined sponsorship and event execution.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the wider Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Manage and maintain the state sponsorship and event planning schedule and analyse ROI post every event.
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, creating an environment that demonstrates the ability to think differently and deliver on simplicity and sustainability.

Requirements from Day One

  • Be an agile and inspiring leader that is energised by achieving great outcomes for customers and the organisation.
  • Ability to shape future strategies with ideas and courage to challenge and try new ways of doing things.
  • A collaborative approach and strong communication skills will see you partner with the state field sales team to ensure alignment of key strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and apply an understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
