Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation exists to protect, preserve, and advance the rights and interests of the Banjima People.

About the Role

We are seeking an Executive – Economic Development to lead the design and delivery of economic development initiatives that support the aspirations of the Banjima People.

This role will focus on building commercial partnerships, delivering strategic projects, and creating employment and training opportunities while strengthening our path to self-sustainability.

You will work closely with stakeholders in mining, decarbonisation, renewable energy, and water sectors to ensure projects align with our values and stewardship of Country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement our Economic Development Strategy.
  • Identify and progress economic development and commercial opportunities.
  • Build strong commercial partnerships and prepare business cases for funding or investment.
  • Oversee the design, funding, and implementation of strategic projects.
  • Build strong stakeholder networks that drive confidence in our economic development capability.
  • Provide regular reporting and manage budgets as required.
About You

You are a strategic thinker with commercial acumen and the ability to convert opportunities into tangible outcomes.

You Will Bring:
  • Experience developing, implementing and managing commercial projects.
  • Proven success in stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
  • Strong background in strategic project management.
  • Experience working at a senior management level.
  • Experience working with Traditional Owners.
  • Knowledge and experience in the mining sector.
