This role plays a critical part in connecting with our diverse workforce, fostering connection and belonging, and promoting our organisational culture and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Engagement: Assist with the implementation of an employee recognition and reward strategy and regularly engage with remote employees to foster connection and belonging.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Partner with leaders to recruit candidates who align with our values, implement and promote an employee retention strategy to reduce turnover, and coordinate job advertisements, interviews, new starter documentation, and onboarding processes.
  • Advice & Support: Assist the People and Culture team with day-to-day administration, documentation, and support tasks, provide practical support and advice to managers and supervisors to enhance leadership and people management capability, and support employees with Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) questions.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Contribute to monthly board reporting, analyse data and trends to inform people strategies and ensure compliance, and conduct and interpret reviews of Greyhound's EBA to maintain alignment with industrial relations standards.
  • Learning & Development: Help develop and manage content in our Learning Management System (LMS), assist with delivering internal training sessions and workshops, identify skills gaps and future workforce needs via performance review and planning conversations.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development, review, and communication of policies that align with legislative and organisational requirements, maintain accurate employee records, and support the successful implementation of HR systems.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and a minimum of 2+ years' experience in a Human Resources/P&C generalist role.
  • Experience across all facets of People and Culture including industrial relations, employee relations, performance management, termination risks, National Employment Standards, and the Fair Work Act.
  • Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation, demonstrated initiative, sound judgement, and a pragmatic problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, experience working with HRIS platforms, familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and experience in designing or delivering training content.
