Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Hardware group, you will be responsible for designing power electronics systems to help us achieve our mission of engineering a world abundant with clean energy.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing BESS products and be comfortable designing the electrical layout of these products with attention to compliance and site installation compatibility. You will be familiar with 3-phase mains voltage equipment and have experience selecting equipment such as circuit breakers, automatic disconnect devices, CTs, and other electrical equipment used in these products.

You will also play a key role in the design and build of internal microgrids and test environments, including 3-phase loads and PV inputs.

  • Design AC voltage equipment and wiring for BESS products.
  • Create and support micro grids, loads, and other test environments.
  • Provide specialized engineering support in power electronics for battery management.
  • Support product requirements.
  • Maintain suitable documentation of work conducted.
  • Perform ad-hoc engineering tasks and activities as required.

Requirements

Must-have experience:

  • Bachelor/Masters/PhD in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in BESS product creation or installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of key standards such as AS3000.
  • Product support experience.

Nice-to-have experience:

  • Electrician license.
  • Experience propagating technical knowledge via mentoring.
  • Functional safety knowledge (IEC 60730 or equivalent).
