Senior Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Laboratory Technician. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing of specimens, including culturing – urines, swabs (various sites), faeces and other samples.
- Preparation of smears for gram stain, reading of gram-stained slides.
- Microscopy of cells in fluids, urines, and other biological samples.
- Identification of crystals and other microorganisms.
- Using analysers for urine microscopy and dipstick chemistry.
- Using analyser for occult blood determination.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- A Science degree obtained from a recognised Australian institution.
- A current full unrestricted driver licence may be required.
- Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills, including prioritisation and time management.
- Ability to work within a team environment, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
