About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Laboratory Executive to lead our laboratory team in Baulkham Hills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with NATA accreditation requirements, and driving business growth through process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety and quality, and good financial acumen. They will also possess relevant tertiary qualifications in science or a related discipline and have experience with computer systems for monitoring and reporting data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse and experienced team of laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enhance the laboratory's capabilities, efficiency, and explore opportunities for new services to boost revenue and profitability.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with NATA accreditation requirements.
- P&L responsibility for revenue, profitability, and cost control for the laboratory.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong set of leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- A commitment to safety and quality, with a focus on maintaining high standards and improving processes.
- Good financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Nata signatory for a range of construction material tests.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another related discipline (desirable but not essential).
- Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting data.
- Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Process improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) training.
- Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
