Job Description

Maximizing Value as a Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the value of our projects and products through effective collaboration with our development team. Your primary responsibility will be to convey and motivate the project vision to the scrum team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Bringing clarity to product requirements and translating them into actionable user stories.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to anticipate and understand requirements, ensuring prioritized initiatives are well-defined.
  • Maintaining a balanced sprint and product backlog, identifying opportunities to improve development efficiency through grouping of stories.
  • Working closely with team members to deliver incremental product enhancements, ensuring acceptance criteria and expected outcomes are met.
  • Participating in scrum ceremonies, including grooming, retrospectives, planning, and daily stand-ups, to maintain a smooth operating rhythm for delivery.
  • Engaging stakeholders and providing regular updates on delivery and release progress.
  • Partnering with the Product Lead to explore and refine roadmap initiatives, working to execute and iteratively deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Analyzing incidents and problems, identifying root causes, and implementing seamless processes for resolution and workaround.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase velocity and quality of work, delivering value to customers faster.
  • Becoming the trusted advisor for customers, communicating their issues clearly through to resolution or workaround.
  • Contributing to the product development roadmap, inputting ideas, feedback from customers, and assisting in validating releases prior to general release.
  • Validating story outcomes and communicating with stakeholders on acceptance criteria.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of proven experience as a Product Owner or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
  • Experience working within a B2B software environment.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms, including Salesforce, Zendesk, and Kustomer, is highly valued.
  • Experience working closely with Design, Engineering, Product, and Customer Stakeholders in an Agile environment, with the ability to translate high-level requirements into well-defined user stories.
