About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional senior leader to join our team at QT Newcastle's signature Restaurant and Bar.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to drive a large team in a high-volume capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Restaurant, Bar, and Café outlets, including rostering.
  • Have a sound understanding of revenue and payroll, and be able to adjust accordingly.
  • Maintain and assist in menu and wine list development.
  • Handle complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in all Restaurant and Café operations to deliver on our QT Signature Service.
  • Constantly motivate staff and be positive and passionate.
  • Actively participate in service, leading by example and developing the skills of staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven previous experience in a similar role and proven leadership experience.
  • A focus on growing and developing a team of passionate restaurant and hotel people.
  • Professional and personable, with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Solid knowledge of wine, spirits, and food.
  • A current RSA and the appropriate legal requirements to work in Australia.
  • Outstanding communications and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
