- Oversee the receiving, storage, and rotation of food to maintain optimal freshness and quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including temperature checks and logbook maintenance.
Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Demonstrated high-level customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences in a variety of hospitality settings.
- Proficiency in budgeting and controlling food costs, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation and a willingness to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
