We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Mordy HQ in Mordialloc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting the kitchen standard and driving culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and serve food to a high standard, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
- Develop menus, specials, and functions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Manage food purchases, menu costings, and monthly stocktakes to optimize profitability.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and rotation of food to ensure food safety and compliance.
- Conduct regular food safety audits and maintain accurate records.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively.
- Demonstrated high-level customer service skills in a variety of hospitality settings.
- Proficiency in budgeting and controlling food costs.
- Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation.
- Willingsness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
