Job Title: Radio Communication Specialist

We are seeking experienced telecommunications professionals to fill a key role in our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To install and upgrade wireless network equipment, set up new telecommunications services, and ensure seamless integration of BTS and transmission equipment.
  • Installation and maintenance of microwave technologies, DC rectifiers, batteries, power distribution, and alarm wiring.
  • Performing troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairing communication networks, including feeder sweep, PIM tests, and DTF.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, providing advice on design, and ensuring OHS compliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Strong RF experience, PIM testing, sweep testing, and fibre splicing skills.
  • Ability to read designs and drawings.
  • Strong quality control and OH&S experience.
  • Positive thinking and teamwork spirit.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including weekends and nights as required.
  • A proactive approach to improving installation methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work from an EWP (elevated work platform).
  • Ability to read and follow standards, guidelines, and method of procedures (MOP).

Required Qualifications:

  • National Construction Card (White Card).
  • RF/EME awareness certification.
  • Valid driver's license (able to drive manual vehicles and tow trailers).
  • First Aid with CPR certification.
  • Tower Rescue certification.
  • Induction training from major telecommunications providers.
  • Work At Heights (WAH) certificate.
  • Telecommunication Engineering background.
