This is a technical role that involves the installation, maintenance and testing of wireless and fiber networks. As a field technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on cell site electronic equipment, including base stations, microwave radios and fiber optic transport systems.
- Conduct fiber splicing, termination, testing and locating to ensure high-speed data transmission.
- Monitor the performance of base stations and microwave radios to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with tower crews to align microwave paths and repair PCS/microwave lines and antennas.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to cell site maintenance.
- Be available 24/7 to resolve after-hours issues and ensure minimal disruption to services.
- Hold a 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to spend at least 50% of work time traveling to and from sites via vehicle.
- Capacity to lift at least 75 pounds and carry it over short distances.
