Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:

Viaero's team of network field technicians perform critical tasks to ensure the integrity and functionality of our wireless and fiber networks. This role involves installing, maintaining, and testing cell site equipment, microwave radios, and fiber optic infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on cell site electronic equipment, including base stations, microwave radios, and fiber optic transport systems.

Execute fiber splicing, termination, testing, and locating procedures.

Monitor the performance of base stations and microwave equipment, identifying areas for improvement and coordinating capacity additions with field and switch personnel.

Assist tower crews in aligning microwave paths and repairing PCS/microwave lines and antennas.

Participate in tower top equipment troubleshooting and maintain/prepare all applicable cell site records and maintenance reports.

Required On Call rotation; available 24/7 to resolve after-hours issues.

Maintain professional appearance of service vehicle and site compound according to company policy.

Requirements:

2-year Technical degree or equivalent experience.

Current driver's license and good driving record.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Able to spend at least 50% of work time traveling to and from sites via vehicle.

Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds and carry it a short distance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous training and/or experience installing and maintaining cellular base station equipment, microwave radios, fiber splicing, outside plant locating, and routers/switching equipment.
