Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Professional to join our team. As a Disability Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
  • Support individuals with disabilities to participate in community activities, such as social events, outings, and hobbies.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and support provided.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. social work, psychology, disability studies) an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a disability support role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move clients as required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
