Information Security Director

The security of our platform is paramount. We seek an experienced Information Security Director to lead our security strategy and ensure its seamless integration with business objectives.

This position demands a seasoned professional who can develop and implement information security policies, manage cybersecurity systems, and maintain high standards across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy in line with company goals.
  • Manage and monitor cybersecurity tools and systems to guarantee their effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough compliance reviews to ensure adherence to financial and privacy regulations.
  • Respond promptly to security breaches, including forensic investigations.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate potential vulnerabilities through security audits.
  • Collaborate closely with departments to embed security into all business processes.
  • Evaluate security decisions with a commercial perspective.
  • Negotiate high security standards with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Provide regular updates on security status and risks to senior management.
  • Maintain and enhance information security resources.
  • Train employees on best cybersecurity practices.

We require an expert in information security management, preferably from the banking/finance or identity verification sector, with a proven track record of developing security policies and procedures.

Key qualifications include:

  • Extensive experience in information security management, preferably in banking/finance or identity verification industry in a growth business.
  • Proven track record of developing security policies and procedures.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and financial industry standards.
  • Experience with risk management, incident response, and forensic investigations.
  • Strong leadership experience with ability to manage and develop a security team.
  • Familiarity with latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends.
  • Compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts to stakeholders.
  • Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is desirable.
  • Experience working in startup or agile product environment is desirable.
