Solar Engineering Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled solar engineer to join our growing team in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the engineering and due diligence team to design, review and analyze renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with specialists in solar and other renewable energy technologies to provide technical consulting services throughout the development, financing, procurement and construction phases of solar farm projects.
Main Accountabilities:
  • Conduct technical due diligence of pre-construction and operational solar projects.
  • Provide specification assistance for all aspects of solar farm construction.
  • Develop scopes of work for owners, lenders and independent engineers.
  • Offer inspection services for solar projects.
  • Support the design process and feasibility studies for solar projects.
  • Assist clients with procurement, including contract negotiation and tendering.
  • Provide ad-hoc advice on solar project requirements.

This role may also provide opportunities to work on other renewable technologies and will contribute to the promotion of DNV's solar services in Australia and the broader APAC region.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree in solar or renewable energy or a relevant discipline (i.e. mechanical, civil, electrical engineering).
  • 5 years professional experience.
  • The right to live and work in Australia (Visa, Permanent Residency, Citizenship).

Knowledge, skills and experience required for the position include:

  • Experience in the solar industry and renewables.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Adaptability, and ability to cope with a wide variety of tasks.
  • Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English.
  • Experience using MS Office suite packages.
