Motor Assessor Job Description

As a Motor Assessor, you will play a vital role in resolving motor vehicle claims and determining fair repair costs. You will be the key to ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and enjoy a positive experience with us.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing motor vehicle damage and determining appropriate repair costs.
  • Providing outstanding customer service and building strong relationships with customers and smash repair network partners.
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve excellent outcomes and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Problem-solving skills are essential to establish fair and reasonable outcomes between us and our customers or repairers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant Australian motor vehicle trade qualification (minimum Certificate 3 in Panel Beating, Spray Painting, or Mechanic).
  • At least 5 years' experience in your field of trade, with a strong understanding of technical aspects.
  • Excellent customer focus, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, share knowledge, and learn from others is crucial.
  • Strong fraud detection, decision-making, and conflict management skills are required to handle complex situations.
