The Role

As a Technical Specialist, you will provide expert advice and support the maintenance of public housing properties. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately determining and assessing maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets, ensuring maintenance works are delivered according to frameworks, policies, and processes.
  • Supporting the management of vacant property inspections in accordance with vacant unit maintenance procedures and inspecting community housing properties where required by the Housing Call Centre in consultation with community agencies.
  • Undertaking initial assessments and providing expert recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit or visa. A cover letter (max 2 pages) outlining their suitability to the role in line with the Key Selection Criteria is required.
