This part-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong logistics and coordination skills. The right candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely transportation, delivery, and inventory tracking of raw materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules for raw materials and finished goods. Track shipments, manage import/export documentation, and follow up on any shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock accuracy across multiple storage and production locations. Maintain and organize inventory logs, purchase records, and shipping documentation for reporting and auditing.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and problem resolution. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to align supply planning with production schedules.
- Assist and lead procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, supporting bids, placing orders, confirming delivery timelines, and tracking supplier performance. Identify and support the implementation of process improvements and best practices related to logistics and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Support the Director of Manufacturing and the manufacturing team with logistics data analysis and operational reporting.
We're looking for an independent, detail-oriented, and highly organized candidate who is passionate about logistics, operational coordination, and contributing to efficient industrial processes.
Requirements- Part-time: 20–24 hours per week
- Working at our facilities (in a hybrid model)
- Occasional lifting of materials or physical presence in a warehouse or lab setting may be required
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience in logistics, operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree is an asset but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply coordination, or related operational roles.
- Experience in international logistics or customs coordination is a plus.
- Experience working in a startup, manufacturing, or clean tech environment is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency is essential. Bilingual in English and French or Spanish is an asset.
