Trade Qualified Spray Painter Job Description

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and qualified Trade Qualified Spray Painter to join our team and undertake quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and be able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team.

Responsibilities include colour matching and mixing vehicle paint, building and maintaining a colour library, preparing, priming, and painting vehicles according to job sheet requirements, buffing and denibbing vehicles, handling vehicles with due care and attention, reporting any extra paint work required, notating old damage or poor previous repairs, cleaning work bays and workshop areas, and coaching apprentices when required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Colour match and mix vehicle paint
  • Build and maintain colour library
  • Prep, prime and paint vehicles according to Job Sheet requirements
  • Buff and denib vehicles
  • Handle vehicles with due care and attention
  • Report any extra paint work required
