Job Description:

About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Colour mix and match vehicle after vehicle has been prepared and is scheduled for painting
  • Build and maintain colour library
  • Prep, prime and paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
  • Buff and denib vehicle
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Notate any extra paint work required that is not quoted for
  • Report any old damage or poor previous repairs to production manager
  • Clean work bay and workshop areas
  • Coach apprentices when required

About You:

  • Trade qualified Spray Painter
  • Minimum 3 years experience working as a trade qualified Spray Painter
  • Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
  • Own tools to fulfil the role

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Trade qualification in Spray Painting
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity
