Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Social Worker to join our team in providing mental health and wellbeing support to students and their families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing student needs, developing care plans, connecting clients with resources and services, advocating for their rights, and offering emotional support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents, and families to assist them in resolving personal or relationship concerns.
  • Administer specialized psycho-educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties, including assessments of cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, social, and adaptive functioning.
  • Coordinate or assist in the implementation of specific professional in-service training programs for teachers, parents, schools, and other professionals.
  • Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • A relevant qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
