Reliability Engineering Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Management team.

The successful candidate will be a key driver in enhancing the performance of our mobile equipment fleet, leveraging data insights and sound engineering principles to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and embed a proactive approach to asset reliability across the operation.

This is a Monday–Friday, residential-based position offering a lifestyle-friendly work arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to a stable and respected mining operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse equipment performance and data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and defect elimination (DE) investigations
  • Develop and optimize asset strategies, including condition monitoring and life cycle plans
  • Support the planning and execution of maintenance shutdowns and component replacements
  • Provide engineering support to the Off-Site Repairs (OSR) team, including repair scope development and review
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, OEMs and specialist contractors to implement sustainable solutions
  • Champion reliability best practice and build capability across the business
Requirements
  • A mechanical or electrical trade qualification
  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Proven experience with heavy mobile equipment (HME) maintenance in an open cut mining environment
  • Exposure to maintenance management systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business
