About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Collection Officer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key member of our commercial debt recovery team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the debt recovery process, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debt Recovery Management: Manage and oversee the commercial debt recovery process, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collections Data Analysis: Utilize Salesforce to track and manage collections activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for improving collections performance and reducing delinquency rates.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients and stakeholders to negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding debts.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the collections process.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior collections staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a collections role, with a strong focus on commercial debt recovery.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in using Salesforce for collections management and data analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex client interactions professionally.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the fin-tech industry is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
