Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that all aspects of our business are aligned with regulatory requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced risk and compliance professionals to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of our compliance framework.

  • Reviewing and advising on enhancements to the compliance framework;
  • Advising and assisting key stakeholders to meet their compliance requirements;
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
  • Advising the business on new and changed regulations and standards, and assisting the business to assess business impacts;
  • Performing targeted compliance risk and framework policy reviews;
  • Oversight and management reporting of compliance breaches.

To be successful, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or a similar discipline;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and sound judgment;
  • A high degree of commercial acumen and self-motivation;
  • The ability to deliver in a fast-paced output-focused environment;
  • A high level of energy and commitment to the team.

About the Role

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for ensuring all risks across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs, and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
