Senior Control Systems Engineer">">Job Description:

The Prelude FLNG facility is an offshore facility located approximately 450 km Northeast of Broome, Western Australia. It handles gas processing, liquefaction, LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, supported by marine and utilities facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety meetings.
  • Develop and maintain programs for the high reliability of Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Implement proactive technical monitoring processes to ensure system efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and defect elimination.
  • Manage lifecycle processes for automation and safety systems, ensuring seamless integration and maintenance.
  • Support spare parts management and procurement processes to minimize downtime.
  • Develop plant changes for safety, reliability, and cost efficiency, aligning with industry standards.
  • Ensure SIS changes comply with functional safety standards (AS 61511).
  • Manage overrides and brownfield design reviews to optimize system performance.
  • Provide technical advice to operations and maintenance teams, facilitating effective communication.
  • Troubleshoot failures and conduct root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field.
  • Experience as a Senior Control Systems Engineer on an operated Oil & Gas asset, demonstrating expertise in process automation and safety instrumented systems.
  • Proficiency with Process Automation and Safety Instrumented Systems, interfaces, and protocols, ensuring seamless system operation.
