  • As part of our continued growth and success, we seek an experienced reliability engineer to implement reliability and maintenance engineering principles, provide support to the maintenance crew on breakdowns, and champion root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA, and system analysis.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for asset data definition and have a key role in developing maintenance strategies for new MPLS and LTE networks to support advanced rail operations such as the High-Capacity Signalling system.
  • This senior position requires a good understanding of the asset management framework and will develop the asset management plan, defining the asset life cycle requirements for a safe, reliable, and consistent rail operation.
  • The successful candidate must have:
    • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
    • Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems and Customer Information Systems, with a good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment.
    • Proven experience in providing engineering support in the planning, design, and delivery of maintenance and/or construction works in an operational asset-intensive environment.
    • Proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and asset management strategy, and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
