Reliability Engineer Role Overview

The Airnorth organization is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join the Continuing Airworthiness team. This full-time position involves liaising with OEMs and Part 21 organizations on behalf of the Operator for specialist support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with OEMs, Part 21 organizations, and others for specialist engineering services, technical dispositions, engineering orders, and repairs.
  • Provide timely reports to stakeholders regarding issues influenced by specialist input.
  • Analyze trends and develop solutions through preparing and distributing monthly reliability and ECTM reports to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare quarterly reliability reports for CASA.
  • Investigate and report defects via the CASA DSR system, including follow-up actions and recommendations.
  • Liaise with CASA for incident reporting.
  • Assist with AD and SB assessments through research and the MRP process.
  • Support Airworthiness Review staff in obtaining and analyzing information for ARC issuance.
  • Perform quality checks on data and paperwork from stakeholders.
  • Report to management on matters related to Continuing Airworthiness responsibilities.
  • Assess Mandatory ICA such as SBs and ADs, and Non-mandatory ICA in consultation with the MRP.
  • Monitor and oversee activities related to the Reliability Program.
  • Participate in aircraft and engine evaluations during fleet acquisition and transition.
  • Analyze ECTM and system performances to recommend technical solutions.
  • Provide maintenance technical support via web-based research and liaison with manufacturers, vendors, and regulators.
Requirements
  • Formal aviation-related engineering tertiary qualifications or trade licenses, or experience as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Systems and/or statistical analysis.
  • Ability to research and prepare reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CMMS software and relational databases.
