Role Overview:

The clean energy transformation is underway, and we're seeking a skilled professional to contribute to its delivery. Our Community Engagement team works closely with communities around our major operational sites to support renewable energy projects through tailored engagement and benefit-sharing initiatives.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape community engagement strategies for the Mt Piper Battery Energy Storage System project, fostering genuine connections with local stakeholders and promoting renewable energy awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to support the planning and delivery of the Mt Piper BESS project.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, including with residents, schools, community organizations, and government representatives.
  • Design and execute customized engagement initiatives, such as a schools program to promote local awareness and support for renewable energy.
  • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions, feedback, and community issues.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the Community Consultative Committee (CCC), including preparation of materials, reporting, and engagement follow-up.
  • Develop and support communication materials, such as newsletters, project updates, fact sheets, and digital content, to inform and engage stakeholders.

About You:

  • You'll have 5+ years' experience in community engagement on a major infrastructure project.
  • You'll possess expertise in developing communications materials, planning events, and risk and issue management.
  • You'll have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
