Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving meaningful participation in local community groups and enhancing the shopping experience for customers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating various in-store and community-based activities, including kids' activities, DIY workshops, supplier demonstrations, family nights, and event planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organise, implement, and manage all store activities and in-store vibe, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and community groups, delivering workshops and community projects that meet their needs.
  • Manage donations and fundraising activities for local schools and community groups, fostering a culture of giving back.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote and communicate store events and activities, building a strong reputation within the community.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate the team.
  • Confidence to grow and maintain relationships, building trust and credibility within the community.
  • Creativity to design and deliver engaging workshops and activities, meeting the diverse needs of our customers.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and execute multiple events simultaneously.
