Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Engagement Specialist to coordinate impactful community engagement and participation within our health district.

As a key member of our team, you will lead consumer and community participation through social media and digital engagements. Your role is crucial in strengthening connections with diverse communities and ensuring their engagement in services and activities provided within our district.

We provide holistic community health services that cater to individuals, families, and carers, as well as population health services focusing on the whole community or key groups within it.

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for coordinating community engagement initiatives across Population and Community Health services. This includes leveraging social media and other online platforms, as well as organizing community engagement events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate community engagement initiatives across Population and Community Health services
  • Leverage social media and other online platforms to engage with diverse communities
  • Organize community engagement events to foster stronger connections with consumers
  • Lead the Sexual Health Service Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC)
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in community engagement and participation
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and online engagement strategies
  • Capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
