Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

The role of a Community Engagement Specialist involves building strong relationships with consumers, community organisations and peak bodies. This is achieved by fostering inclusive engagements that deliver meaningful impact and ensuring stakeholders see how their input shapes decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding and administration for our Consumer Reference Panel.
  • Coordinate consumer participation, from invitations and onboarding through to follow-up and feedback, ensuring every touchpoint feels supportive and valued.
  • Oversee operations and track budgets, managing reimbursements and reporting on expenditure.

Requirements:
  • Degree in community development, communications or public health (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years' experience in consumer or community engagement (health, government or not-for-profit ideal).
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, cultural safety, accessibility and ethical engagement.
