About the Role:

A reputable civil contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee a diverse range of civil construction projects, including roads, car parks, intersection upgrades, and roundabout upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled tradespeople, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Prioritise safety on-site, implementing and enforcing robust safety practices.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on project progress, including safety performance and financial metrics.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or Foreman in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction principles, methods, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Current White Card and Construction Induction Safety Training (White Card).
  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management (preferred).
