Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality operational payroll and HR services support across various projects in Australia.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term opportunity as a Parental Leave Cover and offers a competitive total reward package, flexible work options, and a dynamic work environment. You will be working closely with the HR Services Lead – APAC to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Manage the processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls in Australia, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Time and Attendance System: Oversee the time and attendance system for locations with hourly workers, collaborating with site supervisors and managers to address any system setup changes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain payroll records in compliance with statutory requirements, conducting end-of-month reconciliations and providing timely reporting to site managers and employees.
Requirements
  • Previous payroll experience is required.
  • Knowledge of ADP and Kronos or other payroll/timekeeping systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong knowledge of Awards and Agreements.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
