We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. This fixed-term role will cover Parental Leave and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our payroll operations.

The Role

As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will report to the HR Services Lead – APAC and be responsible for delivering high-quality operational Payroll and HR Services support across various projects in Australia. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls in Australia
  • Overseeing the time and attendance system for locations with hourly workers
  • Maintaining payroll records in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Conducting end-of-month reconciliations and providing timely reporting to site managers and employees

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have previous payroll experience and knowledge of ADP and Kronos or other payroll/timekeeping systems. Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word, is also essential. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask is necessary, as well as strong knowledge of Awards and Agreements.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive remuneration package that includes opportunities for career growth and professional development.
