Leadership Opportunity in Community Development

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead a transformative community-led approach in the Capricornia Region. As the Executive Director, you will guide a dedicated team and regional leadership group, championing the voices of local communities across the Rockhampton Regional and Livingstone Shire Councils.

This role offers a unique chance to shift entrenched systems, influence regional and national conversations, and support communities to design and deliver meaningful, place-based solutions. You will be part of a collaborative initiative that promotes quality education, training, and research for all individuals, regardless of background, location, or life circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide a dedicated team and regional leadership group to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Champion the voices of local communities and facilitate dialogue between stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive positive change and social impact.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience, including 3 or more years enabling high performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completion of a degree or qualification in Management, or similar, with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills before multiple types of audiences.
  • A collective impact mindset and the presence to inspire confidence, passion, and accountability in both internal and external audiences.
