Job Title: Senior Management Position

Jett Building and Construction is a Rockhampton based Australian owned company that delivers outstanding and innovative commercial, residential and renovation projects.

The company is seeking to fill the position of Business Manager - Building and Construction to lead the business as it continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage resources effectively to achieve project schedule
  • Direct and lead a team of experienced Civil and Construction personnel
  • Manage sub-contractors efficiently
  • Ensure accountability of health, safety and environmental standards, policies, and processes
  • Identify and monitor compliance and quality assurance
  • Oversee plans and specifications of work
  • Develop scopes of work and detailed cost estimates
  • Oversee cost management, scheduling, profit and loss, labour management, invoicing, inspections and client relations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and operational efficiencies
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and client-focused individual
  • Minimum five years' experience as a Construction Manager
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge in building & construction
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Passionate about motivating others
  • Understanding of QBCC Act

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management)
  • QBCC Open Builders Licence
  • Business Management qualifications
