Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in facilitating project delivery and overseeing the coordination of software and system modifications within the Commercial Airline Technology division. This position will leverage analytical skills to gather and document requirements, design and analyze solutions, collaborate with technical development teams and vendors, validate and test modifications, and manage software and organizational transitions to completion. The analyst will assist in project initiatives throughout their lifecycle under the guidance of the Project Manager, Delivery Lead, and Product Owner. This role may also involve supporting Business As Usual (BAU) activities and escalating operational support for critical applications within the portfolio. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Systems Implementation and Delivery: Oversee and coordinate the delivery of software modifications and releases. Develop implementation plans for projects and initiatives, engaging business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors as outlined in the delivery strategy.
  • Requirements Analysis: Elicit and document business and system requirements while liaising with vendors and technical teams. Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders to ensure effective solution delivery.
  • Solutions Design: Review requirements and provide insights regarding software solutions. Collaborate with product owners, architecture teams, and vendors to design and document solutions that align with business needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Define testing parameters and collaborate with users and testing teams to ensure thorough testing (e.g., User Acceptance Testing). Support quality assurance through the documentation of testable requirements and testing execution.
  • Change Management: Assess planned system and software changes to mitigate risks and operational challenges. Document change management inputs, including business impact assessments and training needs.
  • Process & Documentation: Document existing and new processes as necessary. Promote standard operating procedures and adhere to delivery frameworks to ensure a consistent delivery experience.
  • Systems Support & Operations: Provide additional support to the systems support team when required. Analyze system issues and coordinate resources to resolve them within agreed service level agreements.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Information Technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Experience in a delivery or implementation role within the technology field.
  • Demonstrated success in large-scale IT project initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the aviation and travel industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of commercial and operational impacts.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage changing priorities.
