Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in facilitating project delivery and orchestrating software and system modifications within the Commercial Airline Technology division. This position requires the application of analytical skills to gather and document requirements, design and assess solutions, collaborate with technical development teams and vendors, validate and test modifications, and manage software and organizational transitions to completion. The analyst will support projects and initiatives throughout their lifecycle under the guidance of the Project Manager, Delivery Lead, and Product Owner. Additionally, the role may involve supporting Business As Usual (BAU) operations and addressing escalations for critical applications within the portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Systems Implementation and Delivery: Oversee and coordinate the rollout of software modifications and releases. Develop delivery and implementation strategies for projects and initiatives. Liaise with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors in accordance with the delivery framework.
  • Requirements Analysis: Gather business and system requirements while engaging with vendors and technical teams. Serve as the intermediary between business and technical teams to ensure optimal solutions are delivered.
  • Solutions Design: Analyze requirements and propose recommendations for software solutions. Collaborate with product owners, architecture teams, and vendors to design and document solutions that align with business needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Define testing parameters and collaborate with users and testing teams to execute testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Change Management: Assess planned system and software modifications to mitigate risks and operational challenges. Develop and document change management inputs, including business impact assessments and training requirements.
  • Process & Documentation: Document existing and new processes as necessary. Advocate for standard operating procedures and adhere to the delivery framework to ensure a consistent delivery experience.
  • Systems Support & Operations: Provide additional support to the systems support team as required. Analyze system issues and coordinate resources to resolve them within agreed service level agreements.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Information Technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Experience in a Delivery or Implementation role for at least 2 years, ideally within the technology field.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale IT project initiatives.
  • Experience in the aviation and travel industry is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of commercial, operational, and customer experience impacts.
  • Proficient in requirements elicitation and documentation, systems analysis, design, deployment, training, and change management.
