Position Summary

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in facilitating project delivery and overseeing the coordination of software and system modifications within the Commercial Airline Technology division. This role involves leveraging analytical skills to gather and document requirements, design and analyze solutions, collaborate with technical delivery teams and vendors, validate and test modifications, and manage software and organizational changes through to successful completion. The analyst will assist in project initiatives throughout their lifecycle under the guidance of the Project Manager, Delivery Lead, and Product Owner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Implementation and Delivery: Oversee and coordinate the delivery of software modifications and releases. Develop implementation plans for projects and initiatives while engaging business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors according to the delivery strategy.
  • Requirements Analysis: Elicit and document business and system requirements, serving as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure optimal solutions are delivered.
  • Solutions Design: Review requirements and propose software solutions, collaborating with product owners and architecture teams to design and document solutions that align with business needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Define testing parameters and collaborate with users and testing teams to ensure comprehensive testing is conducted.
  • Change Management: Assess planned system and software changes to mitigate risks and operational challenges, documenting necessary change management inputs.
  • Process & Documentation: Document existing and new processes as required, promoting standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent delivery experience.
  • Systems Support & Operations: Provide additional support to the systems support team as needed, analyzing system issues and coordinating resources to resolve them within agreed service levels.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Information Technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Experience in a delivery or implementation role, ideally within technology.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale IT project initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the aviation and travel industry is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement abilities with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, capable of managing priorities effectively.
