About the Role

RKF Engineering Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for working on a range of critical projects, including structural design and load rating projects, analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures, and site inspections to identify structural defects and scope upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on ongoing critical projects with a key focus on safety and quality.
  • Work on structural design and load rating projects including analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork.
  • Act as client contact as appointed for specific projects.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify structural defects and scope upgrades.
  • Liaise with staff members in our other offices.
  • Other tasks as allocated by senior staff.
Selection Criteria
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Competent using structural analysis software packages i.e. Space Gass, Strand7.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management and project delivery.
  • Experienced with site inspections and defect identification.
  • Hold or be working towards CPEng.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Open unrestricted drivers licence.
  • Be currently residing in Australia with associated full working rights if applicable.
  • Hold membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with durability and remediation engineering and/or cathodic protection.
