About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing specialist timber team in our Sydney office. As a key member of our team, you will use your technical expertise, building experience, creativity, and initiative to deliver smart, innovative, and efficient engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage medium-sized projects in the Australian market
  • Run and manage projects autonomously with guidance from senior management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Lead and manage a small team, mentoring team members
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to client requirements
Requirements
  • Australian tertiary engineering qualification
  • 6-9 years of local experience in structural engineering design
  • Membership with Engineers Australia, with CPEng / NER registration desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in prestressed concrete, steel design, and reinforced concrete
  • Ideal experience in designing mass timber structures, with training provided for the right candidate
  • Experience in a consulting engineering office, including a range of project types and sizes
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial, residential, government, and/or public buildings and retail
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and design standards
  • An understanding of the design and certification of mass timber projects using Eurocodes is desirable
