Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Victorian market. They will be responsible for overseeing design, certifying projects, and managing a team of four across two offices. The ideal candidate will have excellent project and people management skills, as well as strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design and certification of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations
  2. Manage a team of four engineers across two offices, providing guidance and support as needed
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and growing the consultancy's portfolio
  4. Contribute to the development of the consultancy's business strategy, providing input on technical and commercial matters

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified PE/NER required, CPEng desirable
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Victorian market
  • Portfolio of steel, concrete, and timber-framed buildings
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Commercially astute and strong negotiation skills
