About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Culinary Team Member to join our team at Roshana Care Group. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food production in our restaurant, meeting the standards expected by our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for restaurant and food production across all meal periods, meetings, and events.
  • Assist the Head Chef in training the team and upholding safety practices across the restaurant's kitchen.
  • Assist with ordering and holding team members accountable for stock rotation.
  • Assist to prepare menus and recipes for guests, meetings, and events.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to order food quantities for the day, maximize the use of food produce, eliminate waste, and obtain the best rate of return.
  • Regularly check that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Ensure that all kitchen team members meet all restaurant, hygiene, and Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Develop a positive relationship with guests, team members, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Must hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Must hold a Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
  • Must have previous Ala carte experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience regarding culinary skills and relevant food trends.
  • Strong previous experience in assisting with managing a kitchen and leading a team.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform under a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment and is able to train staff in its use.
  • Knowledge of food safety systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time.
