Work Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation.
As a WHS Advisor, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
You will work closely with various sections of the organisation to identify and mitigate risks, provide expert guidance on safety regulations, and contribute to the overall well-being of all employees.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures
- Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards
- Providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters
- Staying up-to-date with relevant occupational health and safety regulations
- Delivering targeted health and safety training programs
- Investigating incidents and accidents, and compiling reports with recommendations for corrective actions
- Mentoring staff to build their capability in WHS
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Work Health and Safety, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote community setting.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Cert IV (or higher) in Work Health and Safety
- At least two years of experience as a WHS Advisor or similar role
- Indepth knowledge of WHS safety principals, regulations, practices and programs
- Strong skills in risk assessment, analysis, and knowledge of compliance requirements
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment
- Other risk related qualifications
- Experience working in the Barkly region
Please note that a National Police Clearance and Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) card obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role. Please refer to NT Safe for further information. Must be Fully COVID-19 Vaccinated - (3x doses)
