Men's Health Manager

The Men's Clinic Manager is a key position within Anyinginyi Health's Health Services Section, responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary health care to male clients in the Barkly region.
This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the Primary Health Care system and the social determinants of health in our surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate a regular meeting of the Men's Health Nurses and staff across all Anyinginyi Health clinics to ensure effective communication and a positive team dynamic.
- Create and implement culturally appropriate activities to promote male engagement with health services.
- Work with other health services and organisations relevant to Aboriginal men in the region to provide high-quality health care to male clients.
- Coordinate and facilitate access to healthcare by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander male clients across the Barkly Region communities.
- Ensure appropriate rostering of staff and client workflow management.
- Assist GPs and other clinical staff as required, including visiting health professionals and specialists.
- Ensure data, reporting, and compliance obligations for services are met.
- Implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure clinical and legal compliance.
- Effectively manage complaints from a range of stakeholders, including clients, staff, and service providers.
- Work in accordance with Anyinginyi Health's WHS policy, the WHS Act, Regulations, and Code of Practices.
To be considered for this position, you must possess current registration as either an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or Registered Nurse, and have an evidenced understanding of the Primary Health Care system and key issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrated experience providing a broad range of clinical interventions and possessing qualifications to provide vaccinations within the Northern Territory is essential.
Knowledge of quality and accreditation, including RACGP accreditation processes and requirements for primary health care services, is also required.
Previous experience working with an Aboriginal organisation or communities will be highly regarded, but is not essential, provided you can demonstrate a clear understanding of the issues pertaining to Aboriginal Primary Health Care and the social determinants of health in our surrounding communities.
A National Police Clearance and Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) card obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role.
